7 months--December

I'm 7 months now and besides being able to sit, I can roll onto my tummy. There's a lot of excitement in our house and a lot of discussion about trees, gifts, travel... All I know is I got a cool pajama set that I can't wait to wear, and I think it's going to be the perfect time to wear it this month.
I got the chance to make a long drive with my family and visit friends, and even more family at Grandma Laura's house. I got to see this white stuff called "snow" and experience the cold of winter in New Mexico's high desert. Brrr!
It was so nice to be around all my cousins. I don't think my feet or bum touched the ground once the whole time there because I was carried around so much. We hope you had a good Holiday Season with your loved ones, too. Happy 2012 to you!

"My First Christmas" pajama outfit.

Grandma Laura telling me silly jokes.

Santa asked what I wanted for Christmas, and I was trying to crawl away to the stroller to get my long list. :) Actually, I was kind of freaked out by this bearded dude and was reaching for mommy.

Can't wait to help drive!

We had fun in the snow!

6 months--November

I'm sitting all by myself! Now I get put down to sit in all kinds of places while people walk back and forth or around me. They say soon I'll be crawling and getting into things. I'm already scoping out the terrain and have my eyes set on some white rectangular things with two holes in them. My brother already ruined the fun and told me I could "go bizz" if I play with those.

Love my cereal. That's Grandma Laura feeding me--she doesn't mess around.

Like my new blanky? I seem to have a lot of dots in this picture.

Sitting proudly before bedtime....all by myself.

Sitting with my brother discussing all the trouble we're going to get into when we're older and can tag team.

5 months--October

So much learning is going on in my world. I'm starting to have real food---you know, the kind that requires actual utensils to eat with? It's a real test of my mom's patience as I like to ponder things as I eat, feel the textures and decide things like whether or not to spit it out or eat it up.
I'm also making my way into sitting positions more, although I still require the help of the pillows to make sure I don't sway left or right too much.

My "official" 5 month photo. See that, I got all gussied up and everything?!

What did I tell you about utensils and decisions?

Love my "Me, Too!" chair--it's like sitting in a swing for dinner!

My poor, tired mom mistook this outfit for a cute kitty outfit. It took my 3 year old brother to set her straight. He said, "Nice zebra constume, YiYi (Lily)!"

So, using what we had at home, sans the printed boom box, my mom put together my "Aerobics Instructor" outfit for Halloween. She said I was channeling Olivia Newton John. Is she my aunt or something because my mom sounded like I should know who she is?

4 months--September

This month has brought on some more firsts for me. For instance, I can start to sit when propped up with pillows. I also get to have some more one on one time now that my big brother has started some days at preschool. My mom and I can't get over how quiet the house is when he isn't home. It also marks the first use of my passport as we flew to Switzerland to see family and attend my Aunt Monika's wedding.

Trying to hold myself in place so I don't end up on my face or on my side.

Guess what I'm about to sprout?

Safe in the confines of my pillows and jazzy outfit.

Tummy time and a lot of prints going on in this photo.

This sums up my cross Atlantic flight....um, I mean, when I wasn't crying.

What time is it again? This jet lag is no joke.

Best part of my trip was meeting my dad's family.

My parents, brother and me in line to congratulate my Auntie on her wedding.

3 months old--August 2011

3 months! What a turning point. I figured out I could smile and make this noise called "laughter." Now my mom has to throw a party for me because she was the one who made me laugh. Both parents are excited that I'm past the "stare through you" phase, and now can stare at you.

3 months old today, yaaay!

What did I tell you about me sitting "properly" in my bouncer?

Went out with the family to a movie in the park. Was a big snooze fest--a bit of a hibernation period for me.

My mom asked for volunteers to help clean up--look at us avoiding her gaze.

2 months old July 2011

I'm now 2 months and we're gradually getting used to things around the house. We were all a little nervous there when Grandma Laura left back home to NM. We weren't sure what state we'd all be in left to our own devices. My mom had dad and the local pizza delivery on speed dial just in case. :)

Check out my first mug shot. We had a lot of these babies taken so I could obtain my passport.

While we waited for my passport we took a trip up to Seattle for my first wedding. That's my dad and brother. You're right, they were too cheap to buy me my own seat. :)

My mom got frustrated with the new blogger editing options, so she had me take a look. I wasn't much help, I told her: "I'm just the talent, lady, the typing and editing is your job."

Filling out that lounger more, aren't I? I think after this I arched my back and slid out and my mom found me just chilling & leaning on the base of the bouncer. Going forward, you'll notice my mom put me in properly. Like I said, we're all still getting used to things without Grandma here.

1 month--June 2011

This is my first month. I agree, it's a yawn-fest. Give me a break, I just got here. I promise, as things progress, it will get more interesting.

"Welcome, Lily" lollipops from my baby shower.

Baths aren't fun yet.

Lounging with mommy.

Lounging in my lounger.

Sporting some newly washed, fluffy hair.

Ahh, sleep!
